-Virginia Wine Festival is now on the Alexandria Waterfront – Oronoco Bay Park, Alexandria, VA! Be sure to review the questions and answers below for the most up-to-date information on this year’s event!
-Location: Oronoco Bay Park, 100 Madison St., Alexandria, VA 22314 – right on the waterfront!
-Date & Time: Saturday/Sunday, October 14th & 15th, Noon (VIP gets 1 hour earlier access at 11 am) to 6 pm each day
-Ticket Information: Your tickets will NOT be mailed to you, you should bring a printed copy of the email confirmation that you received when you placed your order or your cell phone with an Eventbrite email/app and/or a photo ID. You must have a valid ID and be of legal drinking age to consume alcohol at the event. Will call is at the event entrance on the day of the event, you’ll see signs and tents. General Admission Ticket and VIP Tickets INCLUDE unlimited wine samples to taste at the event – PLEASE DRINK RESPONSIBILY!
-Box Office & Tasting Times: Tastings, glass and open bottle sales all begin at 11 am for VIP, Noon for General Admission and end at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday (30 minutes before the end of the Festival). Unopened Bottles and Case SALES continue through close (6 p.m. on Saturday & Sunday).
-Parking Access: We’re working on transportation details, but area garages are spread throughout Alexandria, VA.
-Food: Yes! But it’s not included in your ticket price – we will not only have food trucks and gourmet food vendors (we take food choices very seriously!), but there will be the VA Oyster Pavilion with both fresh shucked oysters and oysters prepared in various dishes (Menu Soon..).
–ATM’s – Yes, we will have them on site, but most vendors will take credit card – still, it’s always smart for you to have a little cash on hand! Please Note: all food sales will be through our VWF Food Tickets which can be purchased at Festival site for $2/ticket in various increments.
-Children: Children are welcome at the event and there is a large ‘Children’s Area’ with entertainment and more!
-Designated Driver: With a Designated Driver ticket, you will be wrist-banded differently and will not be able to taste or purchase wine.
-Dogs/Pets: No pets. Service dogs are welcome but must register in advance and onsite upon arrival with all proper documentation.
-Things you can bring:
Blankets & Chairs are welcomed and encouraged. Coolers are welcome but you can NOT bring your own alcohol or anything illegal in the state of Virginia. All bags and coolers are subject to search by our security team. Feel free to bring your own non-alcoholic beverages and snacks for the day. Patrons are welcome to bring reasonably sized outdoor shade canopies to Virginia Wine Festival.
NO PETS, NO UNAUTHORIZED VENDING, NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL,
