-Virginia Wine Festival is now on the Alexandria Waterfront – Oronoco Bay Park, Alexandria, VA! Be sure to review the questions and answers below for the most up-to-date information on this years event!

-Location: Oronoco Bay Park, 100 Madison St., Alexandria, VA 22314 – right on the waterfront!

-Date & Time: Saturday/Sunday, October 14th & 15th, Noon (VIP gets 1 hour earlier access at 11 am) to 6 pm each day

-Ticket Information: Your tickets will NOT be mailed to you, you should bring a printed copy of the email confirmation that you received when you placed your order or your cell phone with an Eventbrite email/app and/or a photo ID. You must have a valid ID and be of legal drinking age to consume alcohol at the event. Will call is at the event entrance on the day of the event, youll see signs and tents. General Admission Ticket and VIP Tickets INCLUDE unlimited wine samples to taste at the event – PLEASE DRINK RESPONSIBILY!

Where is the Entrance? We have 2 entrances this year! 

  • GATE 1: Corner of Madison Street & N. Fairfax Street
  • GATE 3: Corner of Oronoco Street & N. Union Street



-Box Office & Tasting Times: Tastings, glass and open bottle sales all begin at 11 am for VIP, Noon for General Admission and end at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday (30 minutes before the end of the Festival). Unopened Bottles and Case SALES continue through close (6 p.m. on Saturday & Sunday).

-Parking Access: We’re working on transportation details, but area garages are spread throughout Alexandria, VA.

-Food: Yes! But its not included in your ticket price – we will not only have food trucks and gourmet food vendors (we take food choices very seriously!), but there will be the VA Oyster Pavilion with both fresh shucked oysters and oysters prepared in various dishes (Menu Soon..).

We are going predominantly CASHLESS!

 You will need a credit/debit card to purchase Food Tickets, Beer Tickets and/or Day-Of Admission Tickets. You can purchase Food & Beer Tickets at various locations inside the Festival.

Food Tickets are required for most food vendors & Oyster Pavilion

Beer Tickets are required to purchase beer

(Wineries & Marketplace Vendors will still accept cash & credit)

Can I Bring My Child to the Festival? Of course! Children 6 y/o and under are free, but please purchase an “Underage” ticket for your child who is over 6 y/o.

If I Exit the Festival, Can I Reenter? Yes, and you do not need to wait in line again, as long as you still have your wristband on.

-Designated Driver: With a Designated Driver ticket, you will be wrist-banded differently and will not be able to taste or purchase wine or any beer or cider.



-Dogs/Pets: No pets. Service dogs are welcome but must register in advance and onsite upon arrival with all proper documentation.

Prohibited Items (the below items will NOT be allowed into the Festival and may be confiscated before entry)

  • Outside food or beverages, Illegal substances or weapons of any kind, Pets and other animals (besides Service Animals), No smoking inside festival grounds

All bags are subject to inspection by Festival staff

Welcomed Items: Blankets, chairs, bags/coolers (but no outside food or drinks), reasonably sized shade canopies. If bringing a small canopy, please do not block the view of the stage from other guests!



 What If I Lose Something at the Festival? Come to the Wine Pick-Up Tent (located near Gate 3) to see if someone turned in your item!
